Tonight was an experience.  We changed out clean linen in the camper.  Not a lot of room there to move around and tuck things in.  Real Cozy.  You cannot easily make the bed.  You have to be in the bed while you are making it up.  We found 6 sleeping bags stored in the corners of the camper.  We thought that perhaps that it too many and pulled a few out.

This week has been one of preparation and testing.  Checking the water system and flushing it.  Checking that everything works.  Stripping out the linens and washing everything after sitting all winter.  We took the grandkids for a test drive out to False Outer Point here in Juneau.  It was cold so they appreciated a warm shelter when they needed it.
Got a chance to test out the heating system.  Had the camper three years now and never once had to use the air conditioner.  Never turned it on.  That may change I suspect by the time we get to Arizona and visit Terry and Bev and Gene.

This is the beginning.

This is the beginning.

Ellen loves her diesel truck.
Next week we begin an epoch journey.  We have an Arctic Fox truck camper that is just right for two people.  In theory it could sleep 4 but that would require two of them to be kids.  It is cozy but perfect for us two.  We have a 2010 Diesel Dodge Truck. As of today it has 2800 miles on it.  We hope to add a bit to that this summer.  If this journey works out ok I want to thank Bill and Lucy Hudson for giving us the idea.  They told us about their travels with their truck camper.  If we have problems I will blame it all on  them.  :-)
