Guided Tour day in Phoenix

YWhat a day to remember.

Terry and Bev were our tour guides for the day. Good thing for air conditioning. The day started out warm then got hotter. Up to 106. My Juneau body is used to maybe 50.

We drove to a great Mexican restaurant nearby for breakfast. I had some outstanding chorizo and green chili for those who know what that is.

Then we got the deluxe guided tour of Phoenix. First we visited the offices (on the outside) of the world famous Sheriff Joe. 80 years old and hitting on all cylinders. Probably the best sheriff in the country.

We saw the Diamondbacks stadium and the football stadium.

We got a fabulous tour of elegant homes high on a hill above Phoenix.  Almost all were Spanish Desert designs.

After we got back to the house we cooled off with a Coors and a dip in the pool.

The for dinner we met with a lot of cousins at another Mexican restaurant. We had a crowd. A joy it was.

Gene and Pam, Kim, Paul and Jack, Terry and Bev, Laurie and Don.
And Ellen and I. We were all cousins!!

On the way home I noticed the price of gas here. $3.49 a gal.
