South Fork

We went to South Fork PA to try to find some family history. My mother was born and raised in South Fork and Grandpa Grillo  had his tailor shop there for most of his life. Grandpa grew up in an orphanage in Sicily. He came to South fork at the age of 18.

We found 4 people who knew and remembered Grandpa and we found 3 who actually went into his tailor shop.  That was a long time ago. The shop is gone now.  Just a vacant lot   The town librarian walked with us to show us where the tailor shop used to be.

The town square is still there where grandpa used to play on Sundays with the town band. I could almost hear him playing there in the square.  As well as I hear most anything else.

The empty lot where the tailor shop was.

The town square.
