The Johnstown Flood.

We visited the flood memorials at South Fork where the dam was and in Johnstown where so many died. 








First photo is north of Johnstown where flood came down the Little Conomaugh river
Second photo is the Stone Bridge on south end of Johnstown where 80 people died in a big fire and were trapped in the flood debris. 
Third pic is Flood Museum downtown Johnstown
Last pic is a building that was originally built in 1896 and destroyed in 1898 by the flood and rebuilt later, in early 1900's.
